1 x Part-Time Cook
We require an experienced part-time cook for our residential home to start IMMEDIATELY for induction WORKING ALTERNATIVE WEEKENDS. You must have a variety of cooking skills due to the different needs of our residents as not only will you be cooking breakfasts and lunches but roast dinners and making desserts which must comply with food handling requirements. Ordering vegetables and dried & frozen goods from our nominated suppliers, maintaining cleaning rotas for yourself and the kitchen assistant, making sure all stored food is dated & labelled and the stock is rotated in line with procedures of a kitchen and to ensure all checks and documentation are done daily and recorded. You must hold a Level 2/3 food safety hygiene certificate and undergo all mandatory training provided by the company. Contract Hours: 7.30 – 14.00 – which will be week 1 : Thursday/Friday/Saturday & Sunday and Week 2 : Thursday/Friday which equates to – 19.5 hours. You must also be prepared to cover sickness/annual leave. Salary rate £10.29. Successful applicant will be required to provide an enhanced DBS – cost of which will be met by the employer.
